A female body is found laying in the SEPTA train yard in
Philadelphia around 8:30 A.M. The victim was nude from the waist down, and
had seemingly been posed with her legs open and her shirt lifted up above
her breasts. She had been sexually assaulted and stabbed numerous
times in the head and chest and there was a single stab wound on her right
arm. In addition to these injuries, there was a single incision type
injury across her abdomen that was deep enough to expose internal organs.
The victim was 52 years when she was killed and was reported to frequent
local bars in the area and was possibly involved in prostitution.
Just over 4 months later and about 10 miles from the previous crime
scene, another victim was found in the bedroom of her apartment nude from
the waist down. She was 68 years old and had been stabbed several
times in the back. In addition to the stab wounds, this victim had
been cut from her breast to her groin after death and a knife was left
protruding from the body. The victim was a regular at local bars in
the area.
Almost a year later another victim was found stabbed to death in her
apartment. This victim was 64 years old and had been stabbed 6 times
in the back. She too was a regular at the local bars in the area.
A year later a 28 year old victim was sexually assaulted and stabbed 74
times in the chest, head and buttocks. This victim was nude from the
waist down and had been posed with her legs open. The body was
slightly concealed beneath a truck and the crime scene was just blocks from
one of the previous crime scenes. It was reported that this victim
would have fought an attacker violently and lived on the streets in the
neighborhood.
The next victim was a 66 year old woman and was found stabbed 29 times in
the foyer of a building where she was evicted earlier in the day. This
murder occurred just a few blocks from where the previous victim was killed.
The next victim was 30 years old and was found in her apartment where
there was evidence that a tremendous struggle had occurred. She was
found wearing only a pair of white stockings and was sexually assaulted with
a foreign object and stabbed numerous times in the face, chest and arms.
She was reported to frequent the local bars and often had male visitors to
her home.
