This section of the site explores an aspect of crime that is
very difficult for many to hear, read, or think about without having a
strong emotional reaction for one reason or another. The subject of
this section is sexual offending and the complexities of the offenders and
their offenses. For those not familiar with sex offenders, this
section is going to explore typologies of these offenders, cognitive
distortions, treatment and assessment options. Also included in this
section is the topic of child molestation and the offenders that commit
these crimes against children.
